Five features India-bound Maruti Suzuki Swift will miss out – Car News
After making its global debut last year, the Maruti Suzuki Swift goes on sale in the UK, and here are five features the India-bound Swift will miss.
With the 2024 Maruti Swift launch around the corner, customers are eager to see what’s on offer. The Swift was showcased last year at the Tokyo Mobility Show and the hatchback is on sale in the UK.
This gives us a peek into the features of the new Swift, while also letting us understand what features will be skipped for India. Here are the top 5 features that the India-bound Maruti Suzuki Swift will miss out on, compared to the Suzuki Swift on sale in the UK.
Five features 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift will not get
Heated seats
While cooled seats may be something to consider in India, heated seats are a big no, as India is a hot place, and such a feature makes sense for the UK and not here. The UK-spec Swift gets heated front seats given its conditions, however, cooled seats would be a welcome feature.

2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift: What’s new?
All-wheel-drive
The UK-spec Suzuki Swift gets an all-wheel-drive (AWD) version. This is a feature that enthusiasts will give up anything to have, as this contributes to excellent handling. However, given that the Maruti Suzuki Swift is a mass-market car and adding an AWD system will increase the price, this will be skipped.
ADAS
ADAS is a feature that’s becoming increasingly common in cars in India and globally, and the UK-spec Suzuki Swift gets this feature. While vehicles such as the Creta, Seltos, Venue, and others feature ADAS, it will add up to the Maruti Suzuki Swift’s price in India, making the mass-seller expensive.
Electronic parking brake
Electronic parking brakes are effective compared to cable-operated brakes, and Maruti Suzuki offers this feature in the Invicto only. While this may not add too much to the cost, Maruti Suzuki will most likely follow the ‘why fix it when it ain’t broken’ strategy, which makes sense.
16-inch wheels
While 16-inch alloys may not seem like much, they do look well, filling out the gap in the wheel arch. For India, Maruti Suzuki is most likely to offer 15-inch wheels instead of 16-inch ones. This could be for various reasons, and one could be larger tyres cost more, adding to the car’s price, and the other could just be to give the suspension better travel, given our road conditions.
