Gear Up, The NT1100 Is Finally Coming To Your Nearest Honda Dealer

Back in early December, Honda brought the NT1100 to America. Our eyes lit up, but sadly, the bike was brought solely for serving duty with American law enforcement agencies. Now, though, there is some good news for all you NT fans. The bikemaker has certified the touring bike with the California Air Resources Board, which indirectly confirms its official launch in North America.

The Honda NT1100 Will Come With Two Transmission Options
Unlike type-approval filings, CARB approvals rarely give away much detail. It’s the same case here, but the data does reveal the US-spec NT will have two transmission options. The first is a six-speed manual while the other is Honda’s popular six-speed dual-clutch transmission. The latter shifts the gears for you for ease of riding, although you can take control via handlebar switches.
Both transmissions come paired with the 1,084cc, parallel-twin engine we’ve already seen on the Africa Twin and Rebel 1100. Here, it produces 100 horsepower and 82 pound-feet, much of which is concentrated down low due to the latest internal upgrades in 2025. Speaking of which, the DCT is improved for 2025 as well. There are two key tweaks, one focusing on slow-speed usability and the other for holding gears longer when you’re sending it.
There’s No Shortage Of High-Tech Features On The Honda NT1100
The NT is armed with top-shelf components all around. As standard, you get 43 mm USD forks, gas-charged monoshock, and 17-inch alloy wheels. These work in tandem with Nissin brakes. The fancy part here is the option of having an electronic suspension.
The top-spec model has Showa Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment suspension that’s present on the Africa Twin as well. It enables fine-tuning of the suspension on the fly, whether it’s the front or rear. We believe this should be a life-saver during long road trips with varied tarmacs.
Things get better when you look at the cockpit. There’s a massive 6.5-inch TFT instrument cluster, hidden behind an adjustable windscreen. This display allows you to access an array of features, which are listed below for reference:
- Five ride modes (Urban, Rain, and Tour, with two User modes)
- Three-level traction control
- Three-level wheelie control
- Rear lift mitigation
- Cruise control
- Cornering ABS
- Smartphone connectivity
- 6.5-inch TFT screen
- Heated grips

What about the price, you ask? Well, we can get some idea based on the Canadian price of the NT. It sells for around CA$17,599, which is slightly higher than the Africa Twin’s MSRP there. Considering the full-size ADV begins from $14,799 here, Honda Powersports could price the NT at near-$15,000 in the US. If so, that would make it pricier than the Yamaha Tracer 9 and the BMW F 900 XR.
