Harley-Davidson Ultra Limited And Road Glide Limited Are No Longer On Sale

A few days ago, we brought you the sad news of the Softail Standard’s demise in 2025. Things get sadder now, as Harley-Davidson has pulled the plug on two of its popular touring bikes as well. These were the only full-dresser options in the Grand American Touring range last year. Let’s dive in.

Harley-Davidson Discontinues The Ultra Limited And Road Glide Limited In 2025
Traditionally, the Grand American Touring range has mostly comprised baggers with hard saddlebags. So full-dresser bikes–the ones with top boxes and integrated pillion backrests–have always been rare. This was also the case in 2024. There were only two full-dresser bikes in the Touring range, namely the Ultra Limited and Road Glide Limited.
The former moniker has been in the lineup since 2010 while the latter dates back to 2012 (it was called the Road Glide Ultra back then). Both motorcycles have remained largely unchanged for five-odd years, retaining the same engine, chassis, and suspension. The only notable changes have come to the features and liveries.
In a way, Harley-Davidson has cut the dead weight by discontinuing the Limited duo. After all, the 2025 lineup is rather fresh, and many would agree the aging bikes simply didn’t belong here. What if you’re looking for an H-D touring bike with a top box then? The new Street Glide Ultra takes over that role. This is not only better in every aspect, but the price of admission is also lower than the Limited models. Win-win?
2024 Harley-Davidson Ultra Limited And Road Glide Limited Prices
- Ultra Limited: Starts from $32,499 (goes to $35,399)
- Road Glide Limited: Starts from $32,499 (goes to $34,299)
The 2024 Ultra Limited And Road Glide Limited Employed The Milwaukee-Eight 114 Engine
Considering Harley-Davidson is struggling with surplus stock, there’s a high chance you can find either of these bikes in dealerships for a steal. We’d suggest considering them, as the duo still has a lot to like. The key element is the fairly reliable twin-cooled Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine that puts out 93 horsepower and 122 pound-feet of torque. All that oomph is available without any filters, too, since all electronic aids (barring ABS) remain optional extras.

The mighty V-twin sits inside a double-downtube/dual-cradle arrangement. The chassis is carved from mild steel and fully supports the engine rather than using it as a stressed member. It works in tandem with beefy 49 mm dual-bending valve telescopic forks and hand-adjustable rear shocks. This is topped by 18-inch alloy wheels, where the front wears dual discs and the rear a single disc.
