Mechanic reveals simple tip that takes stress out of car maintenance before holiday travel
AN EXPERT mechanic has revealed a brilliant and simple piece of car maintenance that can cut out holiday travel stress.
Brent Huntsman, owner of Huntsman Automotive, located in Bowling Green, Kentucky, has emphazised the importance of consistent maintenance to take the worry out of long journeys.
At this time of year, folks across the country are preparing to see family and friends ahead of the holidays.
Many will be looking to hit the roads, so ensuring your vehicle receives the proper maintenance beforehand can help save a lot of time, effort and money in the long run.
Key to this is finding a trustworthy auto shop that doesn’t take advantage of car owners that offers regularly scheduled maintenance checks throughout the year.
Car parts that are worth having looked over include brakes, coolant levels, and the heating system.
Speaking to WNKY, Brent said: “If someone was doing regular maintenance through the year, I think it would take some of the stress off of traveling because they don’t have to rush.
“But yes, we do notice a little bit of a rush right before travel season.”
It’s also recommended to have a vehicle fully inspected before hitting the road, which can then catch any issues that may cause trouble further down the road.
These precautions not only keep drivers and passengers safe, but also help save time and money.
This comes as a veteran mechanic has informed thousands of drivers about an affordable auto product that he stressed is the best to fix cars.
The YouTube creator shared a video featuring himself hyping the auto fuel system cleaner.
Scotty Kilmer emphasized that the Walmart fuel additive “actually works” in the clip.
The car tech has been in the auto repairing business for 56 years, according to his account description.
“It’s a relatively new product from a small company, ATS, in Albuquerque, New Mexico,” the creator stated.
“So most people have never even heard of it.”
Drivers can get the ATS Chemical 505 CRF Fuel System Cleaner for just $53.95 from Walmart.
“Just pour it in the gas tank,” Scotty demonstrated in the video.
“It cleans all the four different types of carbon that build up inside your engine’s fuel injection system and on the valves of the inside of the engine.”
And elsewhere, a driver who decorated his car to celebrate Christmas cheer was left kicking himself after the ornaments left his exterior in shambles.
The Tesla owner said he may be out $100,000 by the time the lengthy clean-up process is over.
