Nissan Kicks will have ADAS features

Nissan has revealed the latest generation of the Kicks SUV ahead of its public debut at the 2024 New York International Auto Show. It is to be noted that the SUV has been in the testing phase for quite a while and has now been shown in a production-ready form. When compared to the previous version of the SUV, it looks completely different and is slightly bigger in dimensions. Furthermore, the SUV seems to have multiple similarities with the Mitsubishi XForce SUV sold in some international markets.

Some of the major visual changes in the SUV include the replacement of the brand’s V-motion grille. Instead, the SUV now has a wide grille with horizontal slats. This is flanked by very narrow-looking headlamps and DRLs. Putting this all together, the SUV has a modern appearance. Furthermore, the SUV has very high arches with matte black colour complemented by very unique-looking alloy wheels. The rather muscular-looking rear end of the SUV is complete with LED lights blended into the large black area across the width of the car.

Nissan claims that the latest Kicks model has more premium materials on the inside compared to its previous version. The dashboard has a double-layered design. To complement the looks, the Kicks has some exciting features, such as touch-sensitive controls for the HVAC, four USB-C ports, a wireless charging pad, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, panoramic sunroof, and headrest-mounted Bose speakers on select variants. The most exceptional feature is the 12.3-inch infotainment screen, which serves as the central point of the interior.

The brand has loaded the Nissan Kicks with Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features which include features like lane keep assist, intelligent cruise control, and ProPilot Assist System in the top variants of the model.

The Nissan Kicks is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine which produces 140 bhp of power and 190 Nm of peak torque. This engine will be paired with a CVT to transfer power to the all wheel drive system.

The Nissan Kicks was on sale in India but was taken off the market because of its sales numbers. However, with the new updated version, the brand might plan on bringing back the SUV to Indian shores.
