This Harley-Davidson Touring Bike Has The Most Storage In 2025

Touring bikes are known for having the highest levels of comfort, luxury, and convenience. But the one feature where a touring bike really reigns supreme is storage space. Thanks to the standard fitment of saddlebags and top boxes, the luggage capacity is notably elevated here over other categories. Harley-Davidson is a particular specialist in this respect, as it has a vibrant line-up of luggage-loaded touring bikes in its portfolio. Among these, the one that stands out with the highest luggage space is an all-new full-dresser.

This new 2025 Harley touring bike manages to add more storage capacity without compromising on overall dimensions and even weight over its predecessor. In fact, this Harley is 51 pounds lighter than Ultra Limited, without compromising on any of its key comfort and convenience attributes. It is also more powerful while being more affordable.

To ensure accuracy, the information compiled in this article was sourced from authoritative sources, including the respective manufacturers’ official websites, such as Harley-Davidson USA.

The Street Glide Ultra Is The Harley-Davidson Touring Bike With The Highest Storage Space

Total Luggage Space: 4.9 cu-ft

The all-new Street Glide Ultra is the only full-dresser from Harley-Davidson in 2025, which is also why it has the highest luggage space of 4.9 cubic feet, owing to its standard fitment of lockable hardcase saddlebags and a wide top box. Despite its predecessor (the Ultra Limited) being marginally bigger, it had a lesser luggage carrying capacity of 4.7 cubic feet. Moreover, the Street Glide also gets additional storage space hidden in its wide fairing lowers. While minimal, at just 0.15 cubic feet, this lockable space is ample to store valuables discreetly.

Now, we do have the Harley Tri-Glide Ultra trike with a lot more storage space at 6.8 cubic feet. But then again, it is not a traditional motorcycle, and the rider loses a lot of riding versatility due to the sheer size of the trike. Hence, despite having a notably higher luggage-carrying capacity, the Tri Glide Ultra is not necessarily a good deal. It’s quited dated as well.

Beautifully Blends Practicality With Cool Looks

The Street Glide Ultra is technically a fully-loaded Street Glide bagger complete with touring-focused elements like a taller windscreen, lots of wind deflector panels, elevated comfort, and, of course, dialed-up storage space. While it does sound like a parts-bin job, Harley has put extra effort into beautifully blending the old-school design with dialed-up practicality. The iconic batwing fairing is an integral part of the design. It also protects against the forces of nature with a windscreen that is approximately 4 inches taller than the Street Glide.

A control vane to help modulate air pressure behind the fairing is there. It also gets fork-mounted air deflectors that can be positioned either parallel to the forks to deflect most of the oncoming wind or parallel to the flow to increase wind flow to the rider’s torso. The fairing lowers get removable panels that can house the official LED fog lamp kit from Harley. The Tour Pack top box also has integrated back and arm support for the pillion.

Notable Features

  • Adjustable windscreen
  • Topbox and saddlebags
  • Fairing lowers with storage
  • Cool new fuel tank medallion in both chrome and black
  • Console insert with model name logo unique to the Street Glide Ultra
  • Iconic Batwing fairing gets a two-tone paint job option and a cool integrated LED DRL design.
  • Black or chrome trims

The Street Glide Ultra leaves no stone unturned when it comes to comfort, for both the rider and passenger, making it the perfect Harley for couples in 2025. The rider sits low and wide on a scooped-out seat with default lower back support. As mentioned before, the backrest-integrated top box dials up the comfort level of the pillion to 11.

Furthermore, Harley also offers an optional heated seat and adjustable highway pegs to improve the riding comfort. The large fairing lowers, and the tall windscreen also creates a cozy bubble for both occupants to ride along comfortably. The price-to-comfort ratio is the highest on the Street Glide Ultra, as it is the most affordable Harley that focuses on pillion comfort.

At the heart of the Street Glide Ultra is the iconic Milwaukee-Eight 117 V-twin. This popular twin-cooled big twin produces 105 horsepower and 130 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheel via a 6-speed manual transmission coupled to a belt drive system. There’s a meaty low-end torque curve, which kicks in at just 3,250 RPM. This is vital because it helps a fully-loaded Street Glide Ultra, complete with the rider, the pillion, and all their luggage, to gain pace without breaking a sweat.

The underpinnings of this mile-munching American luxury touring bike are sturdy and familiar because it utilizes the tried-and-tested Harley-Davidson touring frame. The main frame is a mild steel double-cradle layout that cocoons the engine. It is suspended by Showa dual-bending 49 mm forks up front and Showa dual outboard shock absorbers at the rear. The latter gets preload adjustability.

Braking duties are courtesy of 320 mm dual discs coupled to 4-piston dual axially mounted calipers up front and a single 300 mm fixed rotor coupled to an axially mounted caliper at the rear. This cozy Harley-for-two rolls on specialized Dunlop rubber: a 130-section up front and 180-section at the rear, wrapped around 19-inch front and 18-inch rear alloy wheels. Despite having an imposing stance with a rake angle of 26 degrees and a curb weight of 866 pounds, this Harley-Davidson is an accessible touring bike with a seat height of just 26.9 inches.
