From Xoom 160 to Vida V1 Coupe: Hero MotoCorp unveils host of new models at EICMA 2023 – Bike News

Besides new concepts and prototypes, Hero also showcased the Vida V1 Pro electric scooter at EICMA 2023 which is now headed to European and UK markets.

The Milan Motorcycle Show, commonly referred to as EICMA, is seen as a perfect platform for global two-wheeler manufacturers to showcase their upcoming range of models. Since the last few years, the presence of Indian two-wheeler brands has increased in the annual motor exhibition event with companies looking to make a mark in global markets.

Hero MotoCorp is one of the Indian brands which has actively participated at the EICMA for the past few years. In the latest edition of EICMA, the largest Indian two-wheeler manufacturer has exhibited a plethora of new items in its pavilion which range from full production models, to pre-production prototypes and concepts.

Let us look at the models displayed by Hero MotoCorp at the ongoing EICMA slated to go on sale in the UK, Europe and other parts of the world from 2024.

Xoom 125R

After receiving positive feedback for the Xoom 110, Hero is expanding the Xoom scooter lineup. The first in line is the new Xoom 125R that sits on a new 14’’ platform that offers increased stability and aggressive styling with perfect aerodynamics. Its design attributes are inspired from the flight of a Falcon.

The sporty scooter packs in plenty of features like an advanced LED lighting package with first-in-segment sequential LED indicators, and a digital speedometer with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. While Hero hasn’t officially revealed specs of this scooter, it is most likely to be powered by the same 125cc motor as Destini, but may receive a higher state of tune.

Xoom 160

The second Xoom-branded scooter showcased at the ongoing EICMA 2023 is Xoom 160. With this scooter, Hero MotoCorp will enter a whole new segment of sporty maxi-style scooters that comprises Aprilia SR 160 and Yamaha Aerox. It is powered by a 156cc liquid-cooled engine with enhanced i3s silent start tech (idle stop and silent start system).

Among highlights of this new maxi-style scooter are large 14-inch wheels shod with block pattern wide tyres for better stability and comfort. Other features on offer in Xoom 160 are a smart key with keyless ignition, remote seat opening, Smart Find, and aggressive bold design with dual chamber LED headlamp and an LED taillamp.

Concept 2.5R XTunt

Hero has introduced a new  “Concept 2.5R XTunt” prototype at the EICMA 2023 which is positioned as a stunt bike. A concept based on the new Karizma XMR, the 2.5R XTunt ready to carve out corners with pinpoint precision. It gets a lightweight chassis, powerful engine and advanced technology that promises to make every ride a thrilling experience.

Underneath the unique design of the 2.5R XTunt gets a powerful  liquid-cooled engine nestled within a trellis frame with USD front forks, adjustable mono rear suspension. The vehicle boasts cutting edge features like active-aero technology and follow me home lights.

Vida V1 Coupe

Expanding its electric scooter lineup, Hero has showcased a new Vida V1 Coupe variant which is essentially the same scooter featuring a slick single-piece rider seat, allowing solo experiences to shine while keeping functionality intact.

Concept Lynx

Concept Lynx is an off-road focussed electric motorcycle with the key focus of this product is to have the best ride and handling characteristics with lowest possible weight. The instant torque and quiet operation of the electric motor opens new possibilities in natural as well as residential areas without any intrusion and disturbances.

The bike borrows its name from lynx cat and features a robust and agile frame which is ready to tackle the most challenging trails and terrains. t is designed with a patent pending suspension geometry for better weight distribution. This enables the Lynx to handle rough terrains, ensuring a smooth and controlled ride even in the most demanding conditions.
